AdventTotal (Christmas Countdown) respects your privacy.
This app collects only minimal, anonymous usage statistics to help improve functionality and understand general user preferences.
No personal data is collected, stored, or shared.

2. Data Collected

2.1 Anonymous Usage Statistics

AdventTotal uses Firebase Analytics (Google LLC, USA) to collect anonymous events once per day per user.
This data helps us understand which app features are most used and how we can make improvements.

Collected Data (daily):

Selected background image (e.g. “img_05” or “none”)
Selected figure (e.g. “santa_claus”, “none”)
Event name and date (e.g. “Christmas”, “2025-12-24”)
Days remaining until the event (e.g. 67)
Widget customization status (e.g. background chosen: yes/no, figure chosen: yes/no)

2.2 What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information.

All analytics data is completely anonymous and cannot be linked to an individual.

3. Legal Basis (GDPR)

The data processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) —
our legitimate interest is to analyze anonymous app usage in order to improve performance and user experience.

Because the data collected is non-personal and anonymous, no user consent is required.

4. Firebase Analytics

Provider: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA
Purpose: Anonymous analytics for understanding app usage.
Data transmission: USA (adequate protection under Art. 45 GDPR).

Data retention: Firebase stores aggregated analytics data for up to 14 months before automatic deletion.

5. Cookies

The AdventTotal app does not use cookies.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties.
All collected information is used exclusively for internal analysis and app improvement.

7. User Rights (GDPR)

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users have the right to:

Access their personal data (Art. 15)
Request correction or deletion (Art. 16–17)
File a complaint with a data protection authority (Art. 77)

However, because no personal data is collected, these rights cannot be exercised in practice.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
